ACHIA NSW 2023-2024 Annual Report

It is with great joy that we launch the ACHIA NSW 2023 – 2024 Annual Report, proudly themed “A Peak of actions not recommendations” – Aunty Matilda House.

As you’ve witnessed, 2024 has been a momentous year for ACHIA NSW. After an exceptional growth spurt in 2022 and 2023 when we tripled (and diversified) our initial funding base, 2024 was the year of consolidation and maturation.  Some of the key highlights include:

    • Advocacy actions that are agile, timely and congruent with sector values of collaboration, and co-design
    • Rendering assistance to ACHPs as they navigate critical paths forward in a changing complementary housing market
    • Development and adoption of the Strategic Plan 2024-2027
    • Production of the 2024 Caucus: now in its 6th year, and drawing continued & new support from different governments, not for profit and corporate partners
    • Introduction of the Deadly Housing Summit series in 2024: events connecting ACHPs with Subject Matter Experts who can deliver support to uplift, accelerate and progress the community housing and development ambitions of our diverse communities across regional, remote and very remote NSW.

We encourage you to lean in during 2025 as we see the results of this work which we hope can positively affect generational horizons!

Acknowledgement of Country

ACHIA NSW acknowledges the traditional custodians of the land we live, work and play on. We pay our respects to Elders past and present, for they hold the memories, traditions, culture, and hopes of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders across this beautiful nation. These lands were never ceded; it always was and always will be Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander lands.
